Deputy Minister Obed Bapela to Address the Kgoši Mampuru II Commemoration Day
The Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Mr Obed Bapela will address the commemoration day of Kgoši Mampuru II to be held at Mamone Village in Jane Furse, Limpopo Province.
The late Kgoši Mampuru II was brutally hanged in public on November, 22 in 1883 at Pretoria Central Prison – currently renamed after him by the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Mr. J.G Zuma on 10 April 2013.
This event aims to keep the spirit of the late Kgoši Mampuru II alive and gives the community an opportunity to celebrate their heritage and culture.
