Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu hands over gym facility and sport attire in Sekhukhune, 27 Feb

The Deputy Minister, Ms Nocawe Mafu in partnership with the Bapedi Royal Palace invite members of the media to the official handover of an Outdoor Gym facility as part of the Ministerial Outreach Programme. The event will take place on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at Mohlaletse village, Sekhukhune in Limpopo.

Hosted also in collaboration with the Limpopo Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Recreation; and the Sekhukhune District Municipality, this programme serves as a continuous government effort to develop schools in rural communities, and to make school sport the bedrock of sports development. Sport attires are handed over to local clubs and schools as part of the programme.

Prior to the official handover of the Outdoor Gym facility, Deputy Minister Mafu and the Bapedi Royal Palace Queen Mother, Regent Manyaku Thulare will pay a special visit to Mankopodi Thulare Primary School to among others hoist the South Africa national flag, and to donate 100 pairs of school shoes, as well as soccer and netball attire at 07h30.

The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by Ms. N Sibanda-Kekana, MEC for Culture, Sport, and Recreation; and Deputy Minister Prince Zolile Burns-Ncamashe for the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, among others.

Venue: Bapedi Royal Palace, Maebe Tjate 3, Mohlaletse, Sekhukhune Municipality.
NB: - Kindly note the Dress Code at the Royal Palace:

    The Gentlemen are requested to have a jacket on - (no short sleeve shirts or T Shirts)
    The ladies are requested to have their heads covered.
    The ladies must have on skirts or dresses, no pants.
