The Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa, a District Development Model (DDM) Champion for Amathole District, Eastern Cape, will be hosting an Interdepartmental Jobs, Training and Skills Development Fair on 28 November 2023 at Moko Stadium, Ezihlahleni Village.
Nkosi Holomisa will be joined by the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Ms Boitumelo Moloi, anchoring a Jobs Fair aimed at bringing together work seekers and potential employers where a spectrum of opportunities will be on display. Work seekers will also be assisted with career information, employment counselling, job searching tools and other services.
Nkosi Holomisa will further handover a house to a destitute family at Pewuleni Location. A communal garden for the benefit of the Pewuleni Location community will also be handed over in order to ensure food security in the area. Day-two of the programme involves Employer Breakfast Session to be held at Hemingways Guesthouse, Qonce under Buffalo City Metro on 29 November 2023.
The Session will bring together stakeholders such as employers, trade unions, civil society, institutions of higher learning and government entities engaging on means to curb the high unemployment rate in the Eastern Cape Province.
