The Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, will deliver an address at the 49th Anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Singapore. Alongside the High Commissioner of Singapore, HE Mr Bernard Baker, Deputy Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will represent the South African government as the Guest of Honour at this historic event.
South Africa and Singapore have strong diplomatic relations established in 1992. The two Embassies in Pretoria and Singapore became High Commissions in 1994 when South Africa re-entered the Commonwealth. Bilateral relations between South Africa and Singapore yielded military, trade and air transport cooperation, amongst others.
