Deputy Minister Judith Tshabalala to wrap-up a week-long Youth Indaba at a Gala Dinner
The Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation Judith Tshabalala close off a week-long Youth Indaba at a Gala Dinner, at Durban International Conference Centre in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday, 30 June 2023.
The Department of Water and Sanitation together with its entities, Umgeni and Mhlathuze Water is hosting a National Water and Sanitation Youth Indaba, starting from 26-30 June 2023, with attendance of young water and sanitation professionals who have been discussing innovative ideas to find solutions to challenges in the sector.
Young professionals, most of them qualified in engineering studies had an opportunity to interact with various NGO’s, academics on issues of climate change and water conservation. They also had discussion on opportunities, career and professional development for Youth in water and sanitation sector.
On the first day of the Indaba, Minister Senzo Mchunu encouraged young professionals to have meaningful engagements so that they make meaningful contribution in the water and sanitation sector.
