Deputy Minister John Jeffery to engage with learners with disabilities at the Constitutional Education Programme in Mdantsane

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Mr John Jeffery, MP will deliver a keynote address at the Constitutional Education Awareness Programme in Mdantsane, East London on Friday, 09 March 2018.

The event, which is to be attended by Grade 10-12 Secondary School learners, forms part of the Department’s Human Rights Month celebrations under the theme: “Living the Legacy - Promoting Equal Rights” in honour of former President Nelson Mandela.

A total number of 120 learners from Saint Thomas’ School for the Deaf, Vukuhambe Special School, Baysville Special School and Amasango Career School will take part in the session. The learners will deliberate on, amongst others, the values of human rights as enshrined in the Constitution and how human rights have an impact in their daily lives.
