The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana MP, will launch the Mpumalanga leg of the Decade of the Artisan in Nelspruit. The morning session will be an interactive dialogue wherein Deputy Minister Manana, business and social partners from the Mpumalanga community will discuss concerns and needs within the artisan development trajectory as well as pledge contributions.
Employers from both the private and public sectors will be encouraged to open workplaces for artisan students to obtain practical training.
The afternoon session, the Deputy Minister will interact with learners from nearby schools. The Deputy Minister’s delegation will include the Deputy Minister of Basic Education, the CEO of Fibre Processing and manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority (FP & M SETA), Local and District Mayors as well as the principal of Ehlanzeni Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College.
