Health Deputy Minister Dr Gwen Ramokgopa will address an opening ceremony of the 6th World Congress of Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery (6th WCPCCS) on Sunday, 17 February 2013 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The congress strikes a good balance between highlighting sophisticated technological advances and focusing on mechanisms to prevent heart diseases amongst poor people and in rural areas, and maintaining health systems that provides a platform for good health care.
In her speech, the Deputy Minister will highlight interventions being carried out by South Africa in this regard.
