Deputy Minister Enver Surty launches Vodacom stationery drive in Mamelodi, 7 Feb

Department of Basic Education partners with Vodacom to launch stationery drive in Mamelodi, Pretoria

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education Enver Surty will officially launch a Vodacom stationery drive at J. Kekana High School, in Mamelodi, Pretoria on Friday, 7 February 2014. Hundred and eighty (180) schools from all the provinces have been identified to benefit from this initiative.

The launch forms part of the departments objectives of broadening access to Information and reading material. It is through such partnerships that this goal is becoming a reality. The project will assist in bridging the divide by providing necessary books and materials as well as teaching aids to teachers where there has a lack of such resources.
