Department of Basic Education hands over the Torch of Peace to the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development
Deputy Minister Enver Surty will hand over the Torch of Peace to the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, the Honourable Mr John Jeffery on Thursday, 20 March 2014.
Deputy Minister Surty will highlight all of the department’s efforts in dealing with school violence, especially sexual assault. Deputy Minister Jeffery will deliver an acceptance speech and outline some of the programmes and campaigns of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development on juvenile justice, with particular reference to children in conflict with the law and those that fall victim to contact crimes, especially assaults.
