Keledi Middle School in Phokeng to benefit from Connected School Initiative
The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Enver Surty will on Tuesday 28 January 2014 along with the CEO of the Telkom Foundation hand over information and communications technology (ICT) resources to the learners of Keledi Middle school in Phokeng, North West.
The ‘’Connected School’’ project is an initiative of the Telkom Foundation and affords the Winners of the Telkom Knockout Soccer Tournament the opportunity to donate R200 000 worth of ICT equipment to a school of their choice.
The 2013 Champions Platinum Stars nominated Keledi Middle School as the school that would receive this significant contribution.
The resources, comprising of laptops as well as two years free internet connectivity will officially be handed over to the school as part of both the Telkom Foundation and Department of Basic Educations commitment to ensuring learners are provided with the tools that they can use to excel, flourish and become the leaders of tomorrow.
