Basic Education Deputy Minister, Mr ME Surty, will today Monday, 16 March 2015 deliver the keynote address at the Unisa’s College of Education board meeting. The Deputy Minister will speak about the importance of the Higher Education Institutions for quality teacher development.
The gathering will be attended by senior education academics with an objective to engage the Deputy Minister on how Unisa can work with government to produce high quality teachers needed by the schooling system.
With more than 75 836 students enrolled in 2014, Unisa’s College of Education has the biggest footprint in teacher education in South Africa.
