Deputy Minister Letsatsi-Duba to have unannounced visits in the North West

Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, will on Tuesday, 31 October 2017 have unannounced visits to service points in the North West Province to observe if government services are rendered in line with Batho Pele Principles and interact with public servants at those points.

The Deputy Minister is tasked with ensuring the proper functioning of Thusong Service Centres and service and frontline centres throughout the country.  The visit forms part of the Deputy Minister’s mandate to respond to service delivery challenges experienced by citizens through capacitating government institutions with the requisite skills and information to improve the quality of service delivery quality.

The Deputy Minister’s visit will allow citizens and public servants an opportunity to engage on the successes and failure within the system; an opportunity to liaise with staff to ascertain the challenges they are experiencing and obstacles that hinder their maximum delivery of services; as well as an engagement with management to discuss these challenges as well as to provide support in ensuring that the service delivery in these areas is enhanced.
