Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, to visit the NSFAS Head Offices and University of Cape Town
The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mr Buti Manamela (MP), will visit the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Head Office and thereafter visit the University of Cape Town (UCT), in Cape Town on Thursday, 12 March 2020. Deputy Minister Manamela’s visits forms part of the on-going assessment of admissions, registrations and implementation of improvements at NSFAS in public higher institutions.
Manamela will engage with NSFAS Management to get an update on the 2020 registration process and thereafter do a walkabout at the call centres to get first-hand experience of queries and challenges faced by students in universities and TVET Colleges. Thereafter, he will have an engagement with management and various stakeholders of UCT to get feedback on admission and registration process and also discuss some pressing matters of university.
