Deputy Minister Buti Manamela to celebrate the Teachers of the Magic Classroom Collective at Mayfair Hotel in Mthata
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela, will deliver a keynote address in celebration of the teachers of the magic classroom collective in Mthata, Eastern Cape.
The Nelson Mandela Institute for Education and Rural Development at the University of Fort Hare will celebrate the Magic Classroom Collective, that is, rural teachers, researchers and teachers educators working together at the chalk-face of primary schooling for over 15 years. When they began, most of their schools were at the lowest performing schools in the Eastern Cape. Today, they are currently outperforming better resourced schools in Gauteng.
