Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela, will deliver a keynote address and participate at the HWSETA Roundtable discussion at the University of Pretoria on Monday, 27 November 2023.
The Health and Welfare Sector of Education and Training Authority together with the University of Pretoria will host a round table discussion on transformation in the Veterinary sector.
The roundtable will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including veterinary professionals, councils and associations, government representatives, Universities, and others in the sector, to discuss how we can work together to expedite transformation in the sector, identify obstacles in accessing the sector, finding solutions for a more inclusive sector, and debating how we can grow the workforce in the sector.
This initiative also includes our dedicated campaign of 2022 to reach rural students in secondary school relating to career guidance in the Veterinary Sector.
After many years, the sector is still in need of professionals at all levels and transformation.
