Women’s Day Commemoration in Kwaxolo

The Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries General Bheki Cele, accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Rural Development and Land Reform Mr Mcebisi Skwatsha and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (KZN DARD) MEC Mr Cyril Xaba will commemorate Women’s day in KwaXolo on 7 August 2015, South Coast of Durban, where 350 ha of land has been identified for agricultural interventions as part of the 1 million ha target set as per the National Development Plan (NDP) in the province.

This will be done as part of an intervention by government to develop potential land with the intention of planting grain crops i.e (maize, beans, soya etc. The community of KwaXolo has availed the 350 ha to be developed by government for the benefit of the people in the area. All Ukhozi FM female presenters will be in the fields helping women cooperatives with ploughing and planting.
