Deputy Minister Bernice Swarts hosts service delivery Imbizo in Free State, 17 Nov

Department of Public Works and Infrastructure Deputy Minister, Hon. Bernice Swarts to host an Imbizo at Phuthaditjhaba, Free State to fast track service delivery

Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) Deputy Minister, Hon. Bernice Swarts, together with MEC of Public Works in Free State, Hon. Dibolelo Mance and Executive Mayor of Maluti a Phofung Local Municipality, Cllr Mamotseare Maria Lakaje - Mosia will on 17 November 2023 embark on an Imbizo in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State. The Imbizo aims to fast track service delivery and mitigate challenges which community members and the country are grappling with.

These challenges include high unemployment rate, rising poverty levels and inadequate delivery of basic government services which include infrastructure projects.

The Imbizo will focus on service delivery matters such as patching of potholes, cleaning of municipal sites and planting of trees. The Deputy Minister will also do a walkabout at Kestell Magistrate Court which is currently under construction to evaluate progress made.
