Deputy Minister, Andries Nel, will visit a Community Work Programme (CWP) site in Midvaal Local Municipality, Meyerton. The visit is in line with Youth Month celebration in commemoration of June 16, whereby he will view projects such as the Rehabilitation Centre; Ikhwezi Lokusa Home for the Mentally and Physically disabled as well as the Community Food Gardens. Thereafter he will address about 1500 CWP participants who are benefiting from the Programme as well as other members of the community.

The Community Work Programme is a Government initiative designed to provide an employment safety net to eligible participants by offering them a minimum number of regular days of work each month. The programme targets the unemployed Youth, Women and People with Disabilities.
