The Department of Public Works hands over the Patensie WWTW land to the Kouga Local Municipality

You are cordially invited to witness the ceremonial handover of the Patensie Waste Water Treatment Works at Patensie Prison, by Honourable Minister TW Nxesi, MP to the Kouga local municipality.

The waste water treatment works (WWTW) is currently falling under the custodianship of the National Department of Public Works, in a land occupied by the prison.

The handover of the facility will bring relief to the local municipality which has limited resources to bring services to the developing and growing needs of the community.

Because of the development of the town, a new Waste Water Treatment Works has been needed to service the growing needs of the community.

The current WWTW currently services the needs of the prison only, and the handover will allow the municipality to use it for the larger community.
