Dlala Mantombazana Girls Development Programme is a development programme initiated by the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation with the aim of developing girls in sport with a view to laying a foundation for a lifelong interest in sport.
The tournament is also staged as part of celebrating Women’s Month.
This tournament also serves as a preparatory platform for the Provincial and National Top Schools Championships held later in the year.
This year’s edition of the tournament will be attended by 310 learners under the age of 17 and will feature the following codes: Volleyball, Chess, Basketball, Table tennis and Football.
The tournament will take place as follows:
