The Department of Basic Education will host a satellite session on Thursday 20 June at the 6th SA AIDS Conference 2013 at the Durban ICC.
Gracing the conference will be an array of national and international stakeholders in the field of HIV and AIDS including researchers, academic institutions, NGO’s and government officials.
The departments satellite session will provide an opportunity to consult on the draft National HIV and TB Policy to allow for a holistic view from policy to implementation.
Furthermore the session provides an opportunity to articulate on the education sectors response to HIV and TB as well as looking at the full role out of health services to schools including school based responses to sexuality education and HIV.
