Defence hosts Armed Forces Day Media launch, 29 Jan

The South Africa National Defence Force (SANDF) will host a Media Launch on Wednesday, 29 January 2020 in Polokwane, Limpopo Province. The media launch will be held at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo.  
 
The aim of the Media Launch is to announce various activities scheduled as part of the annual Armed Forces Day 2020 (AFD 20) celebrations to be held in Polokwane. The appointed Chief Executor for AFD 20, the acting Chief of the SA Army, Major General M.J. De Goede, will on behalf of the Chief of the SANDF, address the media to give an overview of all scheduled events leading up to the main AFD 20 parade on Friday, 21 February 2020.  
 
A Question and Answer (Q&A) session has been scheduled between the appointed Chief Executor, supported by a panel of various senior SANDF / DOD cadre and members of the media.  
 
You are cordially invited to send a journalist and or a cameraperson to attend and give coverage to the Media Launch. Gauteng media will be transported from Air Force Base Waterkloof (AFB Wklf) in Centurion to Polokwane and back on Wednesday, 29 January 2020. Reporting time is 05h00 for a 06h00 departure. Members of the media in Limpopo and surrounding areas are requested to make own travel arrangements to attend the Media launch.  
 
The media launch will take place at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane and the programme will start at 09h45 for 10h00. RSVP will be treated on a first-response-first-on board basis until Monday, 27 January 2020 no later than 15h00.
