A media briefing on Amani Africa II Field Training Exercise will be held on today. Amani Africa II Field Training Exercise (AAII FTX) is conducted by the African Union (AU) with the intent of evaluating the state of readiness of the African Standby Force (ASF) and its Rapid Deployment Capability (RDC) towards the achievement of Full Operational Capability (FOC) by December 2015.
The exercise will be conducted in South Africa from 19 October 2015 to 7 November 2015. Personnel, vehicles and equipment from the various participating countries will start to arrive in South Africa from 12 to 17 October 2015.
