Defence bestows medals to South African National Defence Force members, 20 Nov

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will confer medals to distinguished loyal servants who are swelling the ranks of the SANDF. These men and women in uniform will receive their medals in various categories on the occasion of a Medal Parade for their uninterrupted service for serving the SANDF with immeasurable zeal and commitment. All the proceedings are scheduled to take place at Drakensig Military Sport Complex in Hoedspruit, on Friday 20 November 2015 at 10h00.

Most of the recipients cut teeth in the SANDF and have displayed enviable quintessential and astute leadership qualities in ensuring that the people of South Africa are and feel safe. Medal recipients have an unambiguous understanding that being a soldier is an embodiment of discipline, which is a cornerstone of the SANDF; courage, loyalty and honour.

Members of the SANDF appreciate that donning the ranks of SANDF has a parallel responsibility of being adherent and proponent of Code of Conduct including other military prescripts with which they are entrusted.

Members of the media are cordially invited to send a cameraperson or a journalist to cover a parade of this magnitude. Assigned journalists are requested to confirm their attendance as depicted below, by no later than Thursday 19 November 2015 at 15h00.
