Corrections Week aims to recognise and celebrate partnerships and relations between the department and various social partners in business, NGO, faith-based sector, media, labour and other spheres of society that are hands-on in ensuring that Corrections is indeed a Societal responsibility. The department will also use this opportunity to motivate and encourage correctional officials to recommit to the White Paper on Corrections that calls for officials who will serve with excellence displaying qualities such as integrity, honesty and sound work practices, in advancing rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
Join DCS in marking progress made in breaking the cycle of crime, and in re-dedicating ourselves to step up towards the ideals of the National Development Plan (NDP) that calls for crime free communities.
