The Department of Correctional Services will host a job fair aimed at marketing itself as the “Employer of Choice” and creating employment opportunities to millions of unemployed young South Africans and professionals seeking to hone their skills in the brown uniform. The job fair starts at 9am tomorrow, 19th November 2015, at Goodwood correctional centre, Goodwood. The Department of Correctional Services was recently criticised by Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) for the current high vacancy rate, mainly caused by the long-running Employment Equity Case, which is being heard at the Constitutional Court today.
