The Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Telkom Ms Nombulelo Moholi will be handing over Tablet Computers to teachers of 6 Schools in Witbank on Tuesday 12 February 2013.
The project is aimed at bridging the digital divide in rural schools by providing connectivity as well as teaching aids to teachers where ICT (Information and Communications Technology) has previously been a challenge.
This is an initiative that will certainly assist the Department of Basic Education to meet its developmental objectives in ICT and also in ensuring the connectivity of schools in disadvantaged areas becomes a reality.
