Basic Education briefs media on administration and progress of NSC examinations processes, 11 Dec

The DBE Director General to host a media briefing on the administration and progress of the NSC examinations processes

The Director General of the Department of Basic Education, Mr Mathanzima Mweli, will host a media briefing on the on the administration and progress of the National Senior Certificate examinations processes.

Marking at the 193 centres located across the country in all 9 provinces started on 8 December and will end 22 December 2021 with more than 41 500 markers appointed to mark the scripts.
The Department it is working very closely with the Department of Health to ensure that all marking centres are fully compliant to the Health and Safety Protocols and to deal with any emergency that may occur. All marking centres are implementing stringent Covid19 protocols including daily screening, the appointment of compliance officers, the supply of masks, sanitising stations as well as social distancing.
