Food parcels provide much needed relief to families over festive season
The Department of Basic Education and long term partner Tiger Brands will on Wednesday, 10 December handover food parcels to learners at Mthayiza Primary School in Kabokweni, Mpumalanga.
“The December Food Parcel Project forms part of an ongoing strategic partnership between Tiger Brands and the Department of Basic Education working jointly towards the nourishment of learners in so doing addressing food security challenges in our country,”
These food parcels will provide much needed relief for learners whose only daily meal in many cases is provided through the NSNP (National School Nutrition Programme) to a large degree the Food Parcel Project contributes to ensuring that the good work done by NSNP and the Foundation is not reversed during the long school holidays.”
