The Portfolio Committees on Sport and Recreation and Basic Education will tomorrow be briefed by the Departments of Sport and Recreation and Basic Education on the implementation of the Curriculum for Physical Education as a separate subject, school sport programme and funding allocated to the programme.
The joint meeting of the two committees will also be briefed on the progress in respect of identified amendments needed to the South African Schools Act and other legislative and jurisdictional implications of drug testing at schools.
