MEC for Infrastructure Development, Ms Faith Mazibuko in partnership with the Mayor of Merafong Local Municipality, Mr Papi Molokoane will implement a National Youth Service (NYS) Programme. They will kick start the programme with the launch of the Global Youth Service Campaign in Khutsong tomorrow.
The Global Youth Service assembles the youth to perform voluntary community work and respond to challenges that arise in their communities.
The Global Youth Service Campaign aims to:
* promote the participation of young people in the GYSC volunteer activities
* mobilise young people to serve their communities
* provide information on available opportunities for youth participation
