Gauteng Provincial Government launches 16 Days of Activism

The Gauteng Provincial Government will tomorrow launch the 16 Days of Activism Campaign under the theme “Don’t look away’, Act Against Abuse’ in Tarlton Magaliesberg. The Deputy Minister of Health, under her portfolio as Convener of Gauteng Chapter under the Progressive Women’s Movement in South Africa will be in attendance.

The campaign will commence with the door to door campaign whereby the MECs, MEC Faith Mazibuko, MEC Ishmael Vadi, MEC Humphrey Mmemezi, MEC Bheki Nkosi, MEC Nkomfe and MEC Qedani Mahlangu will visit Tarlton Intermediatory Primary School, Ethada Dairy farm, Sun Valley farm and Lijani farm. The visit prior the launch of the 16 Days of Activism aims to interact with the community on issues relating to service delivery and in particular issues affecting women and children.
