Gauteng Provincial Government ICT Summit

About the Conference

The Gauteng Department of Finance will host the inaugural GPG ICT Summit at Gallagher Convention Centre on 14 June 2012. This one day event will provide a platform for government and the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) industry to engage on the broad roadmap for the development, implementation and maintenance of baseline ICT infrastructure and e-government services in Gauteng private sector.

The explosion and demand for technology over the first half of the 21st century is leading governments to start the process of interacting with relevant stakeholders to improve service delivery. This ICT Summit will assist the provincial government to plan the way forward on how to use information and communications technology to improve the lives of citizens in the province.

Aims of the conference:

  1. Assist the Gauteng Provincial Government to create a road map that will enable it to align current systems and align it to future trends, especially related to the vision 2025 and 2055.
  2. Engage with stakeholder and share experiences related where governments or companies have planned for similar goals.
