The Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) will host the 2nd Human Resources (HR) Summit at Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre on 1-2 November 2012 to address issues pertinent to HR in the Public Service.
The primary purpose of the summit is to reposition HR as a strategic partner in the quest for delivery of strategic priorities of the provincial government. Human Resources Management is one of the key performance areas of the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) Regulatory Framework.
Further, the rationale for this summit is to provide a platform where HR Practitioners in GPG can share best practices and take their rightful place as key drivers of service delivery.
This much awaited event will culminate in a Gala Dinner where Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will recognise the best performing HR departments in the province.
