The National Launch of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign kicks off in the Tshwane.

The 16 Days of Activism is an international campaign which takes place every year from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women ) to 10 December ( International Human Rights Day ). The period includes Universal Children's Day and World AIDS Day .

Premier Mokonyane and MEC Mekgwe to officially open and rename the new Germiston Hospital This new 300 bed hospital has advanced technology equipment which will boost the delivery of quality healthcare in the province.

Following the unveiling of the plague, Premier and the MEC will lead journalists on a tour of the new hospital. The new state-of-the-art hospital will among other services offer: Radiology, Theatre, Family and Internal Medicine, Pediatrics unit including Prevention of Mother to Child Therapy, Comprehensive Chronic Illness management and treatment; Male Medical Circumcision, Reproductive Health including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ante Natal Clinic, Choice of Pregnancy and Cervical Screening, Medico-legal services provided in Casualty and Dental Service.
