The Gauteng Provincial Government hosts an Educational Imbizo. The Public Participation programme will take place at various sites throughout Soweto and will allow members of the community to discuss issues related to education as well as encourage them to continue providing support to the matric class of 2010.
With only a few days to go before the National Senior Certificate exams begin on 25 October 2010, MECs will initially visit a number of matric study camp sites in Soweto to motivate learners before proceeding to the public meetings. Premier Mokonyane and the MEC for Education, Barbara Creecy, will visit Thabo High School before proceeding to address the community of Moletsane, Naledi and Tladi.
