Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will address members of the media on Monday, 24 May, following her meeting with the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in South Africa and Libyan Ambassador, Dr Abdalla Alzubedi. The Premier will brief the Dr Alzubedi on Gauteng’s World Cup readiness.
This meeting comes only a few days before Premier Mokonyane hosts a dinner for all ambassadors who have football teams participating in the World Cup. The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, 27 May. The Gauteng Premier will utilise the meeting with ambassadors to market the province as the preferred destination for major sporting events; tourism and investment.
