Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will on Tuesday, 16 November 2010, deliver a message of support at the Arrival Day organised by the 1860 Legacy Foundation. The event marks the 150th year commemoration and celebration of the arrival of People of Indian Origin to South Africa.
It also strives to continue with the fight against all forms of oppression and exploitation in the quest for social justice. People of Indian Origin who contributed to South Africa's freedom and development will be honoured on this day.
The day will also be marked with an unveiling of the names of over 200 People of Indian Origin that are inscribed on the Wall of Names at Freedom Park.
