Gauteng Local Government and Housing MEC Kgaogelo Lekgoro will hand over houses with different typologies to beneficiaries in celebration of the World Habitat Day.
The Alexandra Renewal Project was awarded the scroll of honour last year by the United Nations (United Nations Habitat) for its outstanding achievements.
In support of the government's objective to provide sustainable human settlements, the department will hand over houses at K206 extension nine as part of the Alexandra Urban Renewal Programme (ARP).
All this in celebration of the United Nations World Habitat Day 2010.
