Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will this weekend officially launch the Gauteng Women Achievers Awards.
Under the theme: "Basadi ba na le bokgoni, women are capable", the Gauteng Women Achievers Awards are an integral part of the efforts by the provincial government to recognise the role and importance of women in making the province a better place.
The launch will be used to kick-start the process of nomination and adjudication for the awards in 2011 which will be held in August as part of the Women's Month activities.
