Gauteng joins hands with women and men in mini-skirts and shorts to TAKE BACK THE NIGHT

As part of the 16 Days of No Violence Against Women and Children campaign, Gauteng MECs for Economic Development Qedani Mahlangu and Community Safety Faith Mazibuko, will together with Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Mondli Gungubele, lead a symbolic march with the view to reclaiming and making the streets in the province safe for women and children. Held under the theme "TAKE BACK THE NIGHT", marchers are encouraged to wear any garments of their choice, including mini-skirts and shorts.

The details of the march are as follows:

Venue: Etwatwa Extension 32, Barcelona old sports ground

Members of the media are requested to be part of the political briefing that will commence at 15H00 at Etwatwa Police Station in Daveyton.
