In an effort to improve pharmaceutical service delivery, the Gauteng Department of Health will tomorrow, 14 and Saturday, 15 September 2012 host a Pharmaceutical Conference at St George’s Hotel in Irene, Pretoria.
The aim of the conference is identify areas that require improvement and also to develop innovative strategies and interventions to address the identified challenges.
Under the theme, "Responsible medicine availability and accessibility", the pharmacists gathered will explore topics such as the re-engineering of the medical supply depot and primary health care, the model of dispensing in hospital pharmacies, pharmacy experiences in the NHI pilot project in Tshwane as well as budget and expenditure.
Health MEC Hope Papo will tomorrow morning deliver a keynote address at the opening of this two day conference.
