Gauteng Health MEC to hand over medicine response vehicles and blood warmers

Tomorrow, Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu will hand over two medicine response vehicles and blood warmers in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.

This initiative, which aims at improving the quality of health care and service delivery at public health institutions, will also enable patients to receive blood at appropriate temperature and ensure that medicines are delivered speedily in emergency cases or outside the delivery schedule.

These devices which are essential for saving lives of patients will be placed at Sizwe, Heidelberg, South Rand, Kopanong, Tshepong and Far East Rand hospitals.
