In an effort to decrease the number of deaths on the roads, the Gauteng Department of Health will tomorrow, Wednesday 15 October 2014, embark on the “Safety on the road through healthy lifestyle” campaign in Springs Taxi Rank, Ekurhuleni.
The aim of the campaign is to alert drivers and commuters to health conditions that can lead to road fatalities and also to highlight the importance of regular medical check-up especially before embarking on long trips.
During the day, there will be stalls, demonstration of safety tips, screening for lifestyle diseases such as hypertension and diabetes as well as health education.
