Residents of Mamelodi, Tshwane, will on Wednesday, 21 October 2009 be given the opportunity to engage the Gauteng provincial government on the government’s programme of action since the new administration took over earlier this year.
Premier Nomvula Mokonyane and her entire executive council, will meet the Mamelodi community for an Imbizo. Top issues up for discussion during the meeting include crime prevention activities, school governance measures and drug awareness campaigns in the area.
The Imbizo, which will be preceded by a drug combating and awareness campaign at 07h30 and walkabouts, is aimed at strengthening the understanding of issues the community faces. The engagement is part of an ongoing process to boost crime prevention measures in Gauteng.
