You are invited to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s tabling of its annual report before the portfolio committee tomorrow.
The Acting MEC Qedani Mahlangu will provide responses on how the department spent the budget it was allocated during the year under review. She will elaborate further on specific projects and programmes GDARD has undertaken to achieve its mandate and its ongoing commitment to ensure a sustainable and economically viable agricultural activity in the province.
The report’s highlights for tabling include:
- Key projects initiated and implemented to enhance farmer and community projects in Gauteng
- Support provided to learners pursuing careers related to GDARD’s mandate
- Research initiatives undertaken to explore innovative ways aimed at enhancing agricultural activity in the province.
