When he delivered his maiden State of the Province Address in 2009, Premier Ace Magashule announced that a Regional Innovation Center (RIC) in partnership with Central University of Technology will be launched as a platform for strategic thinking and planning to put forward solutions to our development challenges.
Free State Provincial Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CUT which makes provision for the establishment of RIC, Matric Saturday School, and the Human Resources Management training programme for officials of the Department of Education.
Amongst others, this initiative will assist to yield greater economic growth at regional level, promote skills development and capacity building and research and product development. The project will be launched under the theme: ‘Aha Bokamoso: Joining minds for skills development’.
