Invitation to Free State Women in Manufacturing Webinar
As part of celebrating the 2020 Women’s Month, the Free State Provincial Government will host a Women in Manufacturing Webinar. The Free State Provincial Government is of the view that women must play a meaningful role in the economy, and has identified the manufacturing sector as crucial in the transformation of the economy.
The province therefore wishes to create a platform where women entrepreneurs, those in manufacturing and those planning to be involved in the sector, will engage with all stakeholders with the purpose to transform the sector in particular, and the economy at large. The Webinar will be held under the theme: “Realising the full potential of Free State Women in Manufacturing”.
The aims and objectives of the Webinar are as follows:
- To enhance contemporary discussions on manufacturing and industrialisation within the Free State’s private and public sectors;
- To provide women in manufacturing an opportunity to interact with the leadership of government, investors and other stakeholders with the goal to enhance their participation in the sector;
- To allow for an opportunity for women in manufacturing to interact amongst themselves and network; and
- To contribute towards the transformation of the manufacturing sector in the Free State, and solicit inputs towards the participation of designated groups in all related value chains.
