Free State Education to table its five year progress report on Systematic Evaluation Baseline

Free State Department of Education will be releasing and reviewing the Provincial Systemic Evaluation Baseline follow up report on Tuesday, 21 September 2010 during the Colloquium in Bloemfontein at Lebohang Building at 08h00.

The purpose of the Colloquium is to review the progress made within the past five years in education and serves as platform to celebrate the success and identify challenges hindering the effective support to all schools.

The progress report to be tabled tomorrow will assess the department success and challenges in implementing the Systematic Evaluation Qids-Up Baseline study developed in 2006. Five years since the inception of this programme, the department goes back to the drawing board to analyse and review the impact the study had in providing quality education.

The expected outcome of the Colloquium is to further develop education strategies that will enhance the implementation of various programmes as identified by the department.

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 21 September 2010
